Parents and students, the welfare of everyone’s mental health is a priority during this time of anxiety, stress and unexpected change. If parents or students feel the need to speak with a mental health professional because they are having thoughts of hurting themselves, please dial 211. Mobile Crisis Services will provide you with immediate access to a mental health professional. Additionally, dialing 911 in an emergency will also help you connect to the appropriate supports. Please look at the resources provided below, they can help parents and students during this tough time.

DCF launches “When it Builds Up, Talk it Out" campaign
Parents who wish to access supports are invited to call 833-258-5011 and speak with trained professionals who will listen and speak with them about their concerns and, if additional help is needed, refer them to responsive services. They can also utilize their phones to visit www.talkitoutct.com and click on the link to be connected to the same caring professionals.
The "Talk It Out Line" is available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 8 pm and on weekends from 1 pm to 8 pm and has both English and Spanish capacity.
