Health, Physical Education (PE) & WellnessThe mission for Region 10 School District’s K-12 Wellness program is to prepare student to be life-long learners in health and physical literacy. Students in Region 10 will be provided an opportunity with strategic curriculum development and will be able to understand, apply, access, and advocate for their own health and well-being to either maintain or enhance their quality of life and others. In addition to this, students will have the opportunity to engage in a wide range of physical activity, which ultimately will promote lifelong activity.

The physically literate individual demonstrates competency in a variety of motor skills and movement patterns.
Standard 2- Application of Concepts and Strategies
The physically literate individual applies knowledge of concepts, principles, strategies, and tactics related to movement and performance.

The physically literate individual demonstrates the knowledge and skills to achieve and maintain a health-enhancing level of physical activity and fitness.

The physically literate individual exhibits responsible personal and social behavior that respects self and others.

The physically literate individual recognizes the value of physical activity for Health, enjoyment, challenge, self-expression and /or social interaction.
