My name is Mrs. Allen and this is my first year teaching at Lewis Mills High School. Before coming to Lewis Mills, I was working as a permanent substitute for the World Language Department in Bethel, CT. During my study of Spanish in High School, I really enjoyed the ability to communicate in another language. I also enjoyed learning about different cultural aspects from my teachers. When I continued my studies at Saint Joseph College, I was able to enhance my language and cultural knowledge even further. As a part of my college experience, I had the opportunity to study abroad in Seville, Spain. I lived with a family and attended classes at the Center for Cross-Cultural Studies, including many excursions throughout Spain and Portugal. |
