9/2 LSM closing at 11:00 due to high heat index. All afterschool activities, practices and scrimmages are cancelled today.

8/17 Senior Tara Plocharczyk has been selected to participate in the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Distracted Driving Summit (held in Washington, DC) and will serve on the Teen Leadership Team that will develop and implement a youth-led community driving prevention program. She is one of twenty teens that have been selected throughout the U.S. The National Organization of Youth Safety (NOYS) is a collaborative network of national organizations and federal agencies that serve youth and focus on youth safety and health.

7/27 ImPACT Testing date announced
All students interested in playing a sport at Lewis Mills this year and who have not been baseline tested for ImPact should attend a testing session on the morning of August 23rd. The test will take approximately 20-25 minutes. Students may arrive anytime between 8:30 and 11:00 to take the test. Approximately 45 testing stations exist.

7/27 Student-Athlete Handbook is available for download, along with the necessary forms to attend tryouts this fall. Please click here to download the Student-Athlete Handbook and the required forms. More information is listed on the right hand side of this page.
In addition the Blue Card pickup schedule has been announced:
Blue Cards may be picked up in the nurses office:
Monday August 23: 12-3
Tuesday August 24: 12-3
Wednesday August 25: 8-3 (Nurse will be in and out of the office at meetings on Wednesday and Thursday)
Thursday August 26: 8-3
In the event the athlete cannot pick up a Blue Card during these times, a written request to the nurse may be made to complete a Blue Card and Pass it to the Athletic Coordinator to give to the coach. Please do not call this request in.

LSM Schedules:


All student-Athletes must have a current physical on file (physical form for physician to complete) with the Nurse and must bring the
BLUE CARD and the following forms prior to the first day of try-outs: 2010-2011 Student Athlete Policy/Permission form and Emergency Medical Authorization forms
and the Notification of Online Access to the Student-Athlete Handbook form.

BLUE CARDS: No one may practice or play until the coach has their Blue Card along with the other three forms. If your physical expires before the end of the season, you will be issued a RED CARD. You will need to get an updated physical to the nurse prior to the expiration date to maintain your eligibility. Blue Cards may be picked up in the nurses office.
