Directions: Take Route 4 W through Harwinton. Continue straight towards Litchfield Center on Route 118. At Litchfield Center, continue straight on Route 202. Go past WAMOGO on your right. Continue to New Preston (about 9 miles). Just after passing under traffic light turn right on Route 45N and go through New Preston until you reach lake. Stay on 45 for 1 mile with lake on left until you reach N.Shore Rd and sign to State Park. Turn left on N.Shore Rd and follow 2 miles to State Park. Look for a place to park, however State Police will be directing and may ask you to relocate. **It is 25 miles approx, please allow 45-55 minutes travel time. Try to car pool as parking is limited!! Plan to walk from parking lot to observation area, you will be directed to move cars if not in parking lots.
