Family Math Guide from the Ministry of Education (Ontario, Canada)
This document contains activities that you, as a parent, can do with your child to explore mathematics at home and within your local community.

NCTM's Family Web Page- This resource was created by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM).  It offers brochures and other online materials that recommend practical ways for families to discuss and do math at home together.

Helping Your Child Learn Math provides proven ideas and activities for families to help their children succeed in math. Even though it was written in 1999, it still has good ideas for ways to support your child's elementary math experience.

Figure This Family Corner: This is a series of 5 brochures on topics related to how parents can help support their child as they work with them in the area of math. There is also a listing of other related resources you may find of interest

PBS Early Math – This site gives information about typical milestones in a child’s early development of the various math strands.  It is most useful for parents of pre-kindergarten through second grade.

 

Mixing in Math
This is a bank of activities that add math to after-school programs, library story times, family events and more.
They are designed to mix in to what you already do with children—crafts, games, snack time, and everyday physical activities like playing on the playground.

On-Line Games, Tools and Resources Suggested by TERC – Investigations in Number, Data and Space
This is a very good listing of sites for students from pre-school to middle school. Many of the suggested sites are linked other places within this web site, but is a good collection if you are just browsing.
