Psychological and social work services aim to help students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. We work to strengthen connections between home, school, and community by collaborating with administrators, educators, parents, and other professional. We continually strive to create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments in all of our schools.

The school psychologists and social worker engage in a variety of activities along a continuum of services. These include:

  • Group and individual counseling
  • Participation on pre-referral and PPT teams
  • Problem solving with school professionals and parents
  • Conducting formal evaluations of students referred to special education due to academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns
  • Crisis prevention and intervention
  • Outreach to parents
  • Connecting parents to secure resources and supports
  • Home visits with families
  • Home-School Collaborative meetings
