Regional School District #10 serves the Connecticut towns of Burlington and Harwinton. Region #10, a K-12 regional school district, was established in 1962 and is made up of four schools serving a total enrollment of about 2,700 students. Burlington, with a current population of 7,800, and Harwinton, with a current population of 5,300, are growing, attractive suburban communities with residential areas scattered between large pockets of watershed-protected land. Major shopping areas exist in nearby Farmington Valley, Bristol, and Torrington. The towns' proximity to Hartford affords easy access to educational and recreational activities in the Hartford area.
