Community Service Scholarship

At least one (1) $250 scholarship is being offered to graduating seniors.

Criteria:

  •     Must be CT residents
  •     Must be attend the University of Connecticut as a full-time student next fall
  •     Must be graduating from an accredited CT high school
  •     Must demonstrate an impressive record of community service

COMMUNITY WORKSHOP and AID FUND

Graduating Harwinton seniors are invited to apply to this scholarship.  Eligibility:

  •   Must have disabilities (medical certification required)
  •   Must be attending a private or public school
  •   Must demonstrate financial need
  •   Must use awarded monies for the purpose of education
  •  Must NOT be related by blood, adoption, or marriage to a director of the Easter Seal Rehabilitation Center of Greater Waterbury or a member of the Scholarship Committee of the Community Workshop Scholarship and Aid fund

 National Federation of the Blind of CT

 The National Federation of the Blind of Connecticut (NFBC) is an organization dedicated to creating opportunities for all blind persons.  Recipients of NFBC scholarships need not be members of the National Federal of the Blind of CT. 

NFBC scholarships are judged on the basis of:

  •      academic quality
  •      service to the community
  •      financial need

Scholarships are limited to legally blind, full-time post-secondary students.  Scholarships range from $3000 - $6000.

Applications are available in the Guidance Department.

COMPLETED APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO NFBC BY SEPTEMBER 15, 2008.
