CULTURAL DAY

This year, first grade Cultural Day focused on the continents of Africa and Australia.  We learned about different foods, traditional songs and dances, musical instruments, landmarks, games, and all of the really neat animals that live on these continents.  Our favorites:  taste testing different dried fruits and juices from Africa, making rainsticks, having our faces painted, making headbands with special symbols, and going on the Australian walkabout.  THANK YOU PTA AND ALL OF THE WONDERFUL PARENT VOLUNTEERS WHO MADE THIS DAY POSSIBLE!
