Mrs. Carr’s Potato People

On Saint Patrick's Day students presented a potato that they dressed up to represent a person they admire or a character from a book. Students also learned about the potato famine in the summer of 1845 that devastated Ireland's potato crop. The Irish potato famine was not simply a natural disaster, it was a product of social causes.
