SPRING BAND NEWS

Our Harwinton Beginning Band is in full swing practicing for the spring concerts in May. The band consists of seventy-four dedicated players who have a thirty minute lesson and a forty five minute band period each week. The band is working on several tunes including marches, jazzy tunes and the very powerful, “Parade of the Gladiators.”

The first concert will be the Big Band Bash on May 8^th, and will be held in the Lewis Mills High School gymnasium. Also performing that night will be the Har-Bur Concert Band and the Lewis Mills Symphonic Band. Tickets for this concert will go on sale in April. More information will be sent home with your band student in April. 

The next concert for the Harwinton Beginning Band will be on May 20^th in the Harwinton School multi purpose room. You will not need tickets for this concert.

A special thank you to the Harwinton Consolidated School’s P.T.A. for purchasing the band’s uniform; a blue T-shirt with the band’s logo. The shirt arrived in time for our yearbook picture.
