Philanthropy Club (Ms. Shuhi / Mrs. Ingram)
Sixth graders working
together to help others in their communities and around the world.
Welcome to Har-Bur Club (Ms. Murawski / Mrs. Newman)
Helping students
new to Harwinton or Burlington positively adjust to their new school
and team. Students will also tour incoming 5th graders and discuss
opportunities at Har-Bur.
Office Assistants (Ms. Barkley)
Helping the
office on a variety of tasks that include copier re-filling,
organization, mailings, etc.
Green Thumb Club (Ms. Flaherty/Ms. Crowell)
Helping with planting and
maintaining the courtyard and/or the front of the building.
Word of Wisdom (Mr. Smith)
Organizing a daily inspirational message
read by students and staff. Student Council 6 (Ms. Purcell)
Students will plan and organize
socials and participate in hands-on community volunteer work.
Stock Market Club (Mrs. Gilson)
EMERALD TEAM ONLY Students
participate in Connecticut Stock Market Simulation in conjunction with
the Hartford Courant.
Library Assistants (Mrs. Dias)
Assisting with a variety of tasks
including filling copiers and printers, recycling, watering plants,
straightening book shelves and re-stocking supplies.
Student Council 7/8 (Mrs. Smith)
Students will plan and organize the
dances and eighth grade formal as well as participate in hands-on
community volunteer work in and out of school.
Literary Magazine (Mrs. Johnson)
An editorial board of student
co-editors working in conjunction with Mrs. Johnson to create a grade
6-8 collection of student writing to be published in the spring of
2006.
School Store Managers (Mrs Grappone)
Managing the School
Store by interacting with customers and providing assistance with
inventory during L block and before school.
