Study tips
1.keep all of your
vocabulary, verb charts, organizers and practice tests in a separate Spanish
section of your binder. Put these materials in the front of the binder. Your
latest papers will be ahead of your earlier papers.
2.review these materials
periodically, not just the day before a test.
3.try to create word
associations to help you learn the vocabulary words. Silly ones are often the
most memorable.
4.review the vocabulary out
of order, covering up the English and seeing if you can come up with the
Spanish, and covering up the Spanish and seeing if you can come up with the
English.
5.see if a friend or family
member can quiz you
6.use your organizer to
review grammar, but if you are unsure of something, your book is a good reference.
7.when you write, write as
simply as possible and without translating word for word
8.do not overuse the
dictionary. If you need a verb, make sure you find a word that ends in ar,er or
ir. Once you find a word in Spanish, look for that word in the Spanish section
of the dictionary to make sure it has the meaning you intended.
