WELCOME TO THE HAR-BUR ART STUDIO

PROCEDURES TO FOLLOW WHILE IN THE ART STUDIO 8th Grade:

Enter the studio carefully and quietly, there are always fragile art projects in the studio.

Bring a #2 pencil and your binder with a UA section everyday to class, handouts and homework will be kept in this section for the entire rotation.  Please sharpen pencils when you enter the classroom.

There will be 3 projects completed in the art room this year.  Homework will count as a project grade.  All will be equal in weight (25%).  Projects will be graded on degree of completion, it is up to the student to finish the assignment and hand in for re-evaluation.

There will be approximately 8 homework assignments.  Your selection from the WORK WALL will count as 2 homework assignments.

Homework is always checked during class.  Once homework is checked please keep it in your binder.  Homework is marked as follows

Assigned seating:  Sit quietly in your assigned seat.  Stay on the job.  Quiet  appropriate classroom conversations at your table only.  Remember: you maybe able to work and talk, but it could be very distracting to your neighbor, please keep talk to a minimum.

Each table is assigned a number,  when I call your number it is your turn to move around the room, gather your tools, supplies and project.

Listen carefully to directions:  When you hear “EYES ON ME”  Please stop what you are doing and give me your full attention.

Raise your hand to ask a question or make a comment. This year we have an ART NEWS bulletin board.  Bring in art in the news and you can tell the class about it.

If you are late to class.  Please sign the tardy sheet with the time of your arrival and clip your pass to the clipboard.  After the third tardy you will write an action plan on how you will be on time in the future, the plan will be brought home and signed .

The Unified Arts team has a specific discipline policy this policy in place this year,  the policy will be brought home and signed at the beginning of the year and kept in your UA section of your binder  for the entire year.

You must ask  ME to use the restroom before signing out of class.  Sign the sheet with your name the date and time you left the classroom and the time you returned.  Please carry the designated lav.  pass.
